Albany Diocesan Acolyte Festival
The Cathedral of All Saints is excited to announce the return of the Annual Diocesan Acolyte Festival on Saturday, November 6, 2010. Join acolytes, acolyte leaders, friends and clergy from around the diocese for a day of worship, learning and celebration. Doors open at 8:30 am with coffee, juice and pastries. Acolytes will be vested by 9:30 am for rehearsal and at 10 am a Celebratory Eucharist with our Bishops will be offered. Lunch at Noon is followed by two sessions of workshops. Our workshops this year include Holy Smoke, Cassocks-Copes-Cinctures, FUNdamentals of the Eucharist and a Cathedral Tour. Bring processional crosses, parish banners, thuribles, torches, cassocks & surplices, etc. If you need to travel down the night before discount lodging accommodations are available at the Spiritual Life Center and may be made by calling 518-692-9550. The cost is $12.00 and includes morning coffee & pastry, lunch and an Albany Medallion.
