A six-week group will provide a forum for Black gay men to have an open dialog with others, to discuss the ever changing complexities of homosexuality (coming out, how to deal with family, church, faith, love, sex and marriage), and to allow sharing experiences, ideas, feeling and emotions. In addition, the group will also explore how denial of self, problematic identity constructs and acceptance can precipitate a descent into depression, which in turn can lead to deviant and promiscuous behavior, also leading to contracting HIV, and through neglect, sero converting to and developing AIDS.
