Arizona Derby Dames Banked Track - Season 10
ARIZONA DERBY DAMES 10TH SEASON PLAYOFFS CELEBRATED WITH A TRIPLE HEADER BANKED TRACK ROLLER DERBY BOUT ON SATURDAY MARCH 7TH, 2015
PHOENIX, AZ (FEBRUARY 16, 2014) - ARIZONA DERBY DAMES. The Arizona Derby Dames are closing in on the end of their 10th season with a triple header playoff night on Saturday, March 7th at the Hall of Dames. Four teams will battle it out on the banked track to see which is worthy of facing the undefeated Runaway Brides for the Season 10
In the first bout, the Dames are replaying last year's opening playoff bout. The 2nd place Bombshells will be taking on the 5th place Schoolyard Scrappers. It's well known that a team with nothing to lose is a dangerous opponent and the Scrappers are looking for their first
win of the season. Scrappers' Captain Nikki Badazz (#669) when looking towards the playoffs was quoted, "I say bring it. My girls will be more than ready to rumble."
"We plan to win, all night long." boasted Bombshell's Captain Sho'Nuff. "The playoffs are where we will hone our skills and strategies for the Championship bout." Expect to see an exciting bout as Bombshells try to contain the dangerous underdog Scrappers.
The second bout will pit the 3rd place Coffin Draggers up against the 4th place Brutal Beauties. In their last regular season matchup, the Coffin Draggers buried the Brutal Beauties. When pressed about this
final stand, the Beauties' Captain Abby Arsenic (#1/3 Tsp) was quoted, "I know the Draggers. I've played with them. I know how they train and play. They're fierce competitors, but this time around the Beauties will be crowned Queen of the Rink."
Rising from the grave, the Draggers Captain Lelu Dallas MultiBash(#23) responded."The Beauties aren't the same team we remember from last year. But neither are the Draggers. We've retooled our training and strategies. The Beauties won't know what hit them on the banked track."
Just when you thought the fun was over, the Arizona Derby Dames will present a third bout this night throwing the winners of the first two bouts onto the track to face each, other. Both teams will be tire, bruised and completely determined to destroy the other. This exciting final bout of the regular season will lead directly to the Championship Bout in April against the Runaway Brides.
Immediately following the bouts, the Derby Dames will be headed to their official Afterparty at the Steel Horse Saloon. Come hang out with your favorite skaters at Arizona's "Original" Biker Bar! Unfortunately for our younger Derby fans, Arizona law limits the after party to adults 21 and over.
The Arizona Derby Dames are thankful for their loyal fanbase. The skaters have been training hard and are eager to deliver the same high-speed entertainment their fans crave. Now in our 10th season, the Arizona Derby Dames are planning many throwback events to celebrate our history and our fans.
