Notes on Craft: Premise and Concept
The Writers Guild Foundation presents Notes on Craft, a series of panel discussions focusing on one aspect of screenwriting every week. This week's installment, Premise and Concept, is concerned strictly with developing the initial idea behind a script - from generating compelling concepts to molding those concepts into complete scripts.
Panelists include Dan Pyne (Any Given Sunday, Doc Hollywood), Allan Loeb (The Switch, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps) and Ann Peacock (The First Grader, Nights in Rodanthe). Additional panelists TBA.
Academy Award-nominated writer Dan Petrie Jr. (Beverly Hills Cop, The Big Easy) will moderate.
