This hilarious musical comedy celebrates the mania of competition as the funniest, most lovable and sardonically nerdy contestants compete for the Spelling Bee title.
Six wacky misfits with their steely ambition strive to define themselves apart from their crazy families as they confront the pitfalls of growing up and vie for selection in this witty and wise Broadway hit about coming of age on stage! NOTE: "Spelling Bee" IS GENERALLY "G" RATED, HOWEVER THERE IS ONE PG13 SONG. IN THE SONG THE CHARACTER DESCRIBES HOW HE WAS DISQUALIFIED BECAUSE HE WAS DISTRACTED BY AN EMBARRASSING PHYSICAL RESPONSE HE HAD THINKING ABOUT A GIRL.
