Gallivant through the scenic and picturesque Columbia River Gorge for a tour of the fertile region's agricultural hot spots. Our first stop is Azure Standard, specializing in natural, organic, earth-friendly foods and produce. Learn how they grow organic fruits and vegetables year round with food delivery service to 35 states.
Next is Analemma Winery, where we'll learn how they grow grapes using organic farming practices to produce fruit of individuality that reflects the place in which it is grown. Their orchards are farmed using sustainable methods known as Biodynamic farming. In the cellar, they work to minimize fingerprints on wine such as oxygen, heavy oak and the effects of filtering. We will enjoy wine tasting for $5 and bottled wines will be available to purchase.
Our last stop is Columbia Blossom Organic Orchards featuring 16 different types of organic stone fruits on 30 acres. Organic Tilth Certified, their fruit is tree ripened, and they use aggressive pruning and birds and bats for pest control.
