Mini Cooking Demo - Cozy Coffeecake and Jam
Sandy will be making delicious buttermilk coffeecake and jam at her next Mini Cooking Demo. The recipes come from a memoir cookbook with a quirky title, "Burnt Toast Makes you Sing Good in the Morning." This demo will take place on Tuesday, February 17, starting at 1 pm. In her cookbook, the author Kathleen Flinn tells great stories about her childhood, the memorable cooks in her life and the delicious recipes she grew up with. Through the dishes from her past, Flinn came to understand how meals can be memories and how cooking can be a form of communication. This is a sweet, quiet, midwestern family read with wonderful mouth-watering recipes for family favorites such as cinnamon rolls, homemade noodles and hot German potato salad.
