Playback Theater presents: In the Footsteps of our Forebearers: A Celebration of Our Ancestors 7:30pm, March 7th
According to an old saying: we stand on the backs of those who came before us.
In honor of these forebearers who have directly or indirectly taught and influenced our lives, the Portland Playback community has shaped a brand new show dedicated to telling and celebrating of the stories of those who came before us. "This show invites you to bring forward the tales of your ancestors and how they influenced the life you now live," says Jackie Paris, Director of the Portland Playback Theater Troupe. "With deep reverence and respect we want to hear about the ancient and not so ancient ones whose footsteps you have walked, learning and exploring what they have to teach. This show is about your stories and experiences with them, to be shared before the audience and us, the Playback performers. With respect, reverence and good humor, we will enact your story back to you and in the process hopefully reveal to you something about your own experience. So intrigue us! Move us! Share your delights. Playback Theater is all about YOUR story." Come join the community and explore this topic with artistry, trust, play and respect. Let's see what can be created together! Let's watch!
