Forced into marriage, 50 brides are fleeing 50 grooms. Occupying a grand Italian villa, the brides attempt to fend off an all-out amorous assault launched by their forsaken grooms to reclaim their lost loves. Based on The Suppliant Women by Aeschylus, acclaimed American playwright Charles Mee takes an ancient plot and updates it, creating an inspiring, somber mediation on the ancient themes of justice and revenge as well a wild celebration of the enduring power of love.
