September Lunchtime Learning
At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to explore the sustainable design strategies utilized in four case study projects (3 award-winning for both design and environmental sensitivity); varying in scale and budget, from a single family residence, to a multi-family development, a modest institutional project, and a public work project currently on the boards; discuss the importance of educating clients (environmentally, socially and financially) with the goal of implementing sustainable design, construction, and technological features into every project; apply and implement an appropriate variant of a sustainable strategy into all levels of their own practice; and specify the tools, technology, and relationships necessary to implement a thoughtful sustainable design practice.
