BLACK FIGURE 'FAUX GREEK' WORKSHOP
After transforming slabs of clay into plates, this workshop will explore ancient Greek pottery images and other sources for design inspiration. We will apply black under glaze and incise unique sgraffito scratched lines to add details. These clay works will be once-fired and collected at a later date. The plates are safe for shelled, wrapped, imaginary food; and the playful process is meant to give wings to the imagination. No prior experience with ceramics is required, beginners welcome. All materials provided.
