CMYS Competition Finals
This competition, sponsored by Chamber Music in Yellow Springs (CMYS), is intended to assist outstanding young chamber ensembles in gaining recognition, to promote appreciation of diverse ensembles, and to encourage exploration of new or lesser-known repertoire.
Two finalists will each perform a 50-minute program on the evening of May 1, 2011, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, to three judges and a warm and appreciative audience.
Past winners include string quartets (Jasper, Attaca, Shanghai, Amernet, Corigliano), piano trios (Manhatten, David, Guild), wind ensembles (Amstel Saxophone Quartet, Intrada Winds, Chamber Brass of Boston), and mixed ensembles (Trio Terzetto, North Coast Trio, Elm City Ensemble).
