Japanese Bondage Night with Mike West

In partnership with Little Boxes Theater, I'm proud to announce the first of many low-key, sliding scale classes. If this goes well we will be doing them on a monthly basis.

I'll design the classes to be approachable by rank beginners, but challenging and thought provoking for more advanced practitioners. (we also encourage the more experienced students to help the beginners.

The evening's schedule is as follows:

7:30 -Doors open
8:00 - 8:30 Setup & optional stretching exercises led by professional yogi Aaron S.
8:30 - 10:00 Lesson
10:00 - 10:30 Practice and free time.

Rope should be 7-8m in length, 4-6mm width, and made of natural fibers.
If you don't have that, we have practice rope for you to borrow.

We have rubber mats, but you may want to bring your own yoga mat or fluffy towel.

You don't need to bring a partner, but singles must be willing to tie and be tied.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds, but please charitably contribute if you can.

This is a photography positive event. If you wish to not be photographed, we will have an photo off-limits area.

We'd like to keep an air of mindfullness and respect in the space, even during the after lesson practice. Please keep your voices low and side conversations to a minimum on the practice floor. There's an area for socialization, but also please keep the noise levels down. we are aiming for an atmosphere where partners can hear each other's breathing.

Likewise, while the space has overhead points, we'd ask that students not do wild scenes or over-challenging suspensions simply for the sake of suspending. We may do future events focused on suspension, but at first we'd like to avoid a pissing match or rodeo.
