THAT PRETTY PRETTY; OR THE RAPE PLAY
Sheila Callaghan's raunchy, savvy double-edged-feminist riff follows two ex-strippers on a murderous rampage, as a slacker-screenwriter-wannabe attempts to bang out his magnum opus in a hotel room while his friend Rodney aka "The Rod" waxes philosophical on the nobility of rape and other manly enterprises. When the writer incorporates the women into his script, the lines of reality begin to blur, and only a visit from feminist Icon JANE FONDA can help keep worlds from blowing apart. This high-octane comedy skewers notions of morality in a society awash in cultural clutter. The theatrical smorgasbord includes death by machete (a Pollackesque splattering of blood!), unauthorized use of the mini-bar, corpse-play, peeing the bed, a soft-shoe number, demonstrations of improvised torture technique, Jello-wrestling babes in lingerie, soft-core sponge-baths, the only-ever male-fomented incident of child-birth live on stage, and a special guest appearance by Jane Fonda all set to a kick-ass '80's Hair-Metal soundtrack!
Directed by Billy Bermingham (creator of Cannibal Cheerleaders on Crack), this hysterical assault on the senses, promises to be the feel-good rape-comedy of the season. With only 20 performances, don't miss out! NO KIDS. TOO GRAPHIC. SKEEEEE-RUMPTIOUS.
