FREE Tugboat and Working Harbor Tour- Round trip from Yankee Pier
Travel on board New York's historic Cornell, a tugboat that has served the Northeastern towing industry for over 50 years. Cornell serves as a window to the past to illustrate the growth and evolution of the maritime industry in NY Harbor. As you experience the workings of the tug, you will be guided through the working waterfront and important maritime industries on New York Harbor.
The New York/New Jersey Port has the highest container traffic on the east coast. In 2008, the dollar value of all cargo that moved through the port exceeded $190 billion, a new record. Come learn about the importance of the working waterfront!
