Puppet-o-Rama Presents: Plasticity Now
Mind of a Snail presents: Plasticity Now
The Spirit of Plastic has a message for us.
Plastic: where did it come from, and where is it going? This is a shadow puppet story about time and energy, oil and water. Plasticity is the adaptability of an organism to a changing environment. Now is the ever-present moment of existence.
All the musical instruments and puppets for this show were made from waste plastic.
Mind of a Snail Puppet Co. are a shadow puppet duo from the Sunshine Coast of B.C. Since 2003, Jessica and Chloe have been developing a multi-layered style of visual storytelling using an overhead projector (OHP) as their main light source. Their performances combine originally crafted puppets, music, masked characters, recycled waste, and eclectic experimentations in lighting and timing.
