The American Porch Lecture Series
Over three consecutive Monday evenings in October, Johns Hopkins' Homewood Museum will present the 10th anniversary season of its Baltimore's Great Architecture lecture series as part of AIA Baltimore's 2010 Baltimore Architecture Month. Presentations by NPS architect Mark Schara (Oct. 11: "The American Porch I: Selections (and Adventures) from the Historic American Buildings Survey"), Winterthur Museum senior curator of furniture Wendy A. Cooper (Oct. 18: "The American Porch II: Painted Furniture for Garden Rooms, Porches, and Lawns, 1790-1825"), and internationally renowned classicist architect Allan Greenberg (Oct. 25: "The American Porch III: Porches, Porticoes, and the Architecture of Democracy").
