Monday Night Foreplays: HottHER Than July

Hope you wore layers, San Francisco, because PianoFight's female-driven variety show Monday Night ForePlays is heating up the summer with "HottHER Than July," the group's sixth all-new installment of "SHEketch" comedy in only nine months.

After sold-out runs November through June, ForePlays has proven itself to be a "one stop shop" to cure your "case of the Mondays" by uniting the best female talent of the SF/Bay Area and providing writers, actors, musicians, dancers and comics with a constant platform to showcase new work. There will be only four opportunities to catch Monday Night Foreplays' "HottHER Than July," which premieres July 5 at 8pm, and runs every Monday evening through July 26 in Studio250 at Off-Market Theaters, located at 965 Mission Street between 5th Street and 6th Street.

In July, ForePlays is thrilled to welcome back musical guests Zoe Boekbinder and Rainbow Chair, as well as comedians Janine Brito and Emily Heller, who took first and second place respectively in the 2009 San Francisco Women's Comedy Competition. "HottHER Than July" also premieres two original dance numbers and five new comedic sketches involving a sock puppet, a Jesus-loving fast food chain, a disturbing sex talk from mom, and an air guitar power struggle.

ForePlays is written, directed and produced by Ruth Grossinger, Nicole Hammersla, Kate Jones, Jessica Mele, Emma Rose Shelton and Derricka Smith. Joining them on stage are cast members Rob Ready, Eric Reid, Joe Scheppers, Meredith Terry, Dan Williams and Duncan Wold. Rachel Rockwood pulls triple duty this month as an actor, director and the guest stand-up comic on July 26.
