CHEF LUDO LEFEBVRE BRINGS CREATIVE CUISINE
TO CELEBRATE ANDRE ETHIER EXHIBITION

The intimate evening takes place from 7-10PM and will feature delectable "Bites" by Chef Ludo to tantalize diners' taste buds. Unlimited specialty cocktails including Soju Martini's and a variety of Japanese Micro Brews will compliment Ludo's culinary creations that merge old world simplicity and new world imagination. Andre Ethier will set the mood for the evening by playing his own musical soundtrack inspired by his exhibition of new paintings.

ABOUT LUDO:
Chef Ludovic Lefebvre (Ludo) has been named one of the World's 50 Greatest Chefs by Relais & Chateaux and was nominated by the James Beard Foundation for a Rising Star Chef Award. In 2007, Ludo introduced his temporary special dining event called LudoBites. Dubbed a "transforming moment in Los Angeles restaurant scene" Jonathan Gold of LA Weekly has said getting a seat at LudoBites "was harder than getting into UCLA film school". Ludo has just been named #1 on the list of the Top 50 Most Influential French people in America by France-Amerique Magazine and has been called 'The Chef of The Future' by Time Magazine. ABOUT ACTUALIZED at HONOR FRASER:
Toronto based painter, Andre Ethier brings ACTUALIZED, and it feels so good to Honor Fraser gallery. Ethier evades specific narrative and concrete concept, and works from his own subconscious. His hybrid, folk-like fantasy, sci-fi scenes, still lifes and portraits are equally informed by Old Master paintings, Fauvism, Dutch still life, and contemporary culture and psychedelic rock. Among the artist's lush bouquets of oozy, dripping flowers are ambiguous one-eyed Cyclops creatures, bearded and long-haired men whose bulbous features threaten to melt into obscurity, and troll people who could have escaped from the pages of the older more gruesome fairytales. (Remember, in the original story of Cinderella, the stepsisters cut off their toes to fit their feet in the glass slipper). Interestingly, Ethier considers this most recent body of work a collection of self-portraits of his own adolescent subconscious.
