Playing Within the Game with Ron West (2010 SF Improv Festival)
Ron West believes that adhering to the rules of the game enables improvisers to create a scene. In this workshop on finding the freedom to improvise "within" improvisational theater games, Ron West will teach new games, present old favorites, and prepare students to participate in the "Game Island Smackdown on Saturday Night.
Ron West has worked as a performer and consultant to Whose Line Is It, Anyway? and had a recurring role on the popular sitcom Third Rock from the Sun. He has had featured roles in the films Sour Grapes, Garage, The Babe,Backdraft, Miss Missouri, Goodnight Sweet Wife, The Effects of Magic and Family Values. Ron has participated in more Second City productions than he can count. In Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Ron shepherded the cast of Boom Chicago in Europe: We Created a Monster! The Doctor bats right and throws right.
