The Other Dance Festival 2010
"an invitation to the adventurous" (Chicago Tribune, The Other Dance Festival features 15 of Chicago's finest modern dance artists (over three weeks) with a different line-up of artists each week. High-flying motion and commotion. Pure, powerful dance. New and existing works by shooting-stars on the dance scene and award-winning veterans alike; "an end of summer ritual for dance fans" (TimeOut Chicago).
Week 1, Sept 16/17: Same Planet Different World Dance Theatre, Mordine & Company Dance Theater, Molly Shanahan/Mad Shak, Jonathan Meyer, Chicago Moving Company.
Week 2, Sept 23/24: Breakbone DanceCo., Peter Carpenter, Hedwig Dances, Lucky Plush Productions, The Seldoms, Mordine & Company Dance Theater (2nd special appearance).
Week 3, Sept 30/Oct 1: Matthew Hollis, The Humans, Ayako Kato/Art Union Humanscape, The Moving Architects, Janet Schmid.
