RENO, NV. Theatre for the whole family - Brüka's Theatre for Children brings the seventh adaptation of Grimm's Fairytales with The Wishing Well an adaptation of the Grimm's Household Tale of Mother Hulda about the rewards of hard work and good spirit. Public performances are March 5, 6 and 7, 2015 at 10 AM at Brüka Theatre and will tour schools and communities with Pioneer Youth Programs March through July 2015.
Doors open hour before curtain time. Tickets are $5 for those under 12 and $10 for adults. Reservations can be made at 775.323.3221. Brüka Theatre for Children is also available for touring through Brüka or The Pioneer Youth Program Roster. Brüka tours and average of 25 shows per year.
Brüka Theatre has been presenting Theatre for Children for 22 years in communities and schools in western Nevada and northern California. Brüka's Theatre For Children incorporates a simple and innovative set, costumes and props to bring stories to life in theatrical form in virtually any environment. The shows are created for children K - 6, and it is the perfect show for the entire family.
Adapting Grimm's Fairytales and bringing a contemporary spin to the storyline's and moral message create our original performance of Goldi. Our adaptation of Goldilocks explores the themes of curiosity, the exploration of the unknown and the desire to have things "just right", the Importance of respecting space and property and the consequences of just "trying out" things that do not belong to you.
Improvisational games are used throughout the performances and a few volunteers will be asked to come on stage as part of our performance to play within the show. We will also ask for suggestions from the audience to use as names within our production.
