Ziggurat Theatre Ensemble presents "THE PUZZLE BOX"
Showtimes:
Friday, February 13 at 7:00 pm
Friday, February 20 at 7:00 pm
Saturday, February 21 at 7:00 pm

Bowdoinham's Ziggurat Theatre Ensemble will be at Mayo Street Arts with four performances of The Puzzle Box, an original, ensemble-created play, February 13 - 21.

An odd young woman acquires a "puzzle box" - a mysteriously locked wooden chest with no apparent door or lid, no hinges, and no clues.  This meeting of the strange girl and the strange box ignites a series of astonishing events, while a parade of eccentric characters seeks to cure her mania. As the solution to the mystery unravels, the story begins to shift and double back, revealing hidden passages and unexpected turns  just like the puzzle box itself.  Employing heightened physicality, stylized staging and cryptic language, "The Puzzle Box" will mesmerize and surprise. Five actors populate a dreamlike world of shifting realities, unimaginable loss and miraculous redemption in "The Puzzle Box."

The Puzzle Box will be preceded by the short curtain-raiser, Patient Q, a lecture on Bio-transferable Orphic Energetics.

The ensemble consists of Dana Wieluns Legawiec, Stephen Legawiec, Kathleen Nation, Michael Dix Thomas and Marjolaine Whittlesey.

The artistic personnel is as follows: Direction is by Stephen Legawiec; the Costume Designer is Joan Mather, and the Movement Coach is Dana Wieluns Legawiec.
