New Belgium "Lost In The Woods" Party
Every February in Fort Collins, CO, New Belgium hosts "Lost In The Woods", a celebration of the brewery's love of sour beers. Hosted within the "woods" of the brewery's wooden sour aging tanks, it's also the official release party for two sour beer vintages: La Folie, the award-winning sour brown ale that launched New Belgium's wood beer program back in 1997, and Transatlantique Kriek, a wood-aged sour cherry ale brewed in collaboration with Belgium's Oud Beersel.
This year, New Belgium is expanding the celebration to Bier Station in a special, ticketed event in our Biergarten 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7. Included in the ticket cost:
-- A flight including 4 oz. pours of 2015 La Folie, 2015 Transatlantique Kriek, Cherry Felix light sour with cherries, and Portage porter.
-- A charcuterie plate to help you explore flavor combinations with the flight.
-- The first opportunity to purchase bottles of 2015 La Folie and 2015 Transatlantique Kriek,
-- A toast via video with the Fort Collins celebration featuring brewmaster Peter Bouckaert.
