NEUROLOGIC DISEASES OF AGING
Over the past four decades, great strides have been made in our understanding of health and disease; medical advances have improved the quality of our lives, allowing us to live better and longer. As the population ages, neurologic diseases are becoming more common. Such conditions not only mentally and functionally limit a patient's independence, they place a significant burden on caregivers, the greater medical community and society at large. This seminar will review: - Common neurological diseases of aging - Common presenting signs and symptoms - Diagnostic work up and treatment strategies ___________________________________________________________
