TWELFTH NIGHT by William Shakespeare.
**Staged! Kids! Junior Theatre Camp runs for 2 weeks. Ages 6-11 attend just July 20-July 30, with performance on Aug. 1.
For ages 6-11: Staged! Kids! Theatre Camp runs July 20-Aug. 2 (2 weeks of camp, plus performances Aug. 1 & 2). Before & After-care are available. Camp runs 9:00 am-2:00 pm, Monday thru Friday.
TUITION:
Ages 6-11: $400 (two-week camp); $210 (one-week camp)
WHERE? Summer Stock is held on the campus of The Marylhurst School in Oregon City.
TEACHING ARTISTS include Andres Alcala, Jonathan Quesenberry, Paul Angelo, Chanda Hall, Elizabeth Brown, and a guest choreographer.
WHAT IS SUMMER STOCK?
In theatre, "Summer Stock" means full immersion in rehearsing and performing more than one show at a time, often reusing "stock" props, scenery, and costumes. Historically held in rural or suburban areas to take advantage of the outdoors & beautiful weather, Summer Stocks became an important training ground for emerging professional theatre actors.
Staged! is proud to offer a Youth Summer Stock program--the only one of its kind--where young people can engage with the art form in a supportive, rigorous, joy-filled environment.
ABOUT THE PLAYS:
Once on the Island is a captivating, Calypso-flavored re-telling of The Little Mermaid, set on a Caribbean island where villagers tell the story of the orphan Ti Moune and her legacy of great love.
A sparkling, hilarious adventure filled with mistaken identities, royal romance, and even some sword fights, Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare's best-loved comedies.
