Chef in the Garden 2010

Renowned Chef Tom Douglas is bringing his genius for magical menus to the P-Patch Trust's Chef in the Garden event on Tuesday, July 20. The al fresco evening in the Interbay P-Patch will feature Tom as the guest chef, preparing an array of dishes that emphasize garden-fresh ingredients and innovative flavor combinations.

The menu includes appetizers of fava beans and ricotta with mint, and a green bean casserole tart; a first course of roasted beets and icicle radishes served on Dahlia Bakery bread; an entree of New York steak with Chanterelle sauce, and a grain mustard potato salad; and blueberry crisp with lemon verbena sherbet for dessert. The vegetarian entree will be a summer vegetable crostada with Chevre cheese.

Hors d'oeurves and wine will be served beginning at 6 p.m., and guests are welcome to stroll - through the extensive Interbay P-Patch - one of the city's largest and most developed - with glass in hand. Dinner seating will be at 7 p.m.
