Israel Onstage 1 of 3 - He Walked Through the Fields
Written in 1947 and performed throughout the state during the War of Independence, this play looks at Kibbutz life and the Palmach, examining the founding ideals of the State. One young man's struggle makes us conscious of the tensions between serving the greater good and serving the individual. A love story full of entertaining characters.
