Daichakai Tea Ceremony at Tanabata Festival
Capture the beauty of the changing seasons in a Tea Gathering designed to a create a singular experience. Visitors will be seated on tatami mats inside the Shoseian Teahouse and the Tateuchi Community Room. Please avoid jeans, bare feet, rings, and personal fragrances. Reservations are required. Ceremonies will take place every half hour from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. Gatherings held on the hour will be in the Shoseian Teahouse, while those on the half-hour will be in the Tateuchi Community Room. Tickets cost $10 per person. Admission to the Japanese Garden must be paid on the day of the event ($3 - $5).
