Chef & Market Lunch with Shango

Discover the beauty of one of our favorite urban farmers markets by joining us for one of the three Chef & Market Lunches offered by Feed Your Soul this summer. On July's tour, we will start the adventure by meeting at the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market, where we will take a tour led by food writer Christa Glennie Seychew and Chef Jim Guarino of the highly-acclaimed Shango Bistro & Wine Bar.

During the tour we will meet some of the farmers and vendors, talk about their growing methods and seasonal offerings and sample some of their wares. Chef Jim, a regular at the market, will be able to answer questions you may have about some of the more unique vegetables and fruits sold at the market, offering tips for both storing and preparing them.

Throughout the tour, the group, with the guidance of our chef, will gather the freshest of what's in season (and maybe a few extra treats) before we make our way down the street to Delish, Elmwood's favorite cooking demonstration school and bakery. At Delish, Chef Jim will lead us through a simple and impromptu hands-on lunch preparation using all of our market purchases. Finally, we will sit with cold lemonade and our fresh,light farmers market meal and reflect on the day.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
On each of these tours the lunch menu will be an improvisation using what is freshest and available at the market. We cannot be responsible for adhering to any dietary restrictions.

**Please include a valid email or mailing address where an itinerary and other information can be sent to you.**Meet-up information will be dispersed approximately one week before the tour date. Guests will be required to sign a waiver before assisting in lunch preparation.

WE reserve the right to cancel classes that do not have a minimum of 12 participants. We don't anticipate this to be a concern, but there are occasions when unforeseen circumstances may arise.

Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable.
