The Realities
A new play by Brandon Sharkey about how reality television has changed the entertainment landscape and provided many everyday people with their "15 minutes of fame."  However, when the cameras stop recording, how easy is it for them to rejoin the real "real world?"  What happens to them when the reality show ends and reality takes over? The Realities offers some intriguing insights as well as a few eye-opening revelations. Hear the stories from the people who lived the reality; featuring actual participants from some of your favorite reality shows.

Written and directed by actor, comedian, writer and musician Brandon Sharkey. A native Californian, Brandon began performing on the stage at the age of 11, and added stand-up comedy to his resume at 15. He later attended the UCLA School of Theatre, Film, and Television, where he was a member of the UCLA Comedy Club performing Stand-up, Improv, and sketch comedy throughout Southern California. He also holds a degree in Play writing from Whittier College Brandon toured the U.S. with his original play "always a quarter 'til three" and most recently had his play "Without Doors" produced at the Whitmore Theatre in 2006. As an actor he has appeared in TV shows, films and numerous plays. Favorites include: "Pillow Talk" at Glendale Centre Theatre, "Of Mice and Men" at CA Shakespeare Co., and "A Christmas Carol" produced by Shoreditch Productions at LA Valley College. He is also an Associate Artistic Director for the California Shakespeare Company.

Featuring reality show contestants Melanie Brown (Making the Squad: Charger Girls), Parker Delon (Big Brother 9), Jennie Floyd (Who Wants to be a Millionaire?), Shelia Kennedy (Big Brother 11 & Scott Baio is 45 ... And Single) and Michele Noonan (Brother 11), along with a few others from some of the past decade's favorite reality shows.
