Bill Ayers: 'To Teach: The Journey'
"Teaching at its best," writes Bill Ayers, "is not a matter of technique, it's primarily an act of love." The concept is not new. Ayers education manifesto, "To Teach: The Journey" was first published in 1993, but now the format is.
Ayers, a former radical activist and current professor/education theorist, is now a graphic novelist, too. And in comic form, Ayers' serious assessment of education trends is reanimated through witty dialogue balloons and artful cartooning (by Ryan Alexander-Tanner).
