The Catskill Sonata
Directed by acclaimed film maker Paul Mazursky,(Moscow on the Hudson, Tempest, Down and Out in Beverly Hills) and written by Michael Elias (The Jerk, Frisco Kid), The Catskill Sonata takes place in late June 1950's. Rosen's resort caters to the bohemian artists of the day. The blacklist looms, many have lost their jobs. Dave Vaughn, a brilliant tortured writer holds court on the front patio, sharing his wit and wisdom. A seventeen year-old hotel worker receives his guidance on sex and writing.
