Amy Hamilton : Lili and the Sparrow
Lili & the Sparrow is a story told through film, dance and theater. In a far away place, a down on his luck peddler has his fortune told, and meets Lili, the circus acrobat. Their strange and wonderful story unfolds. Featuring traditional and experimental Balkan music, and original film and art.
Appalachian Winter Michael Whitmire
A woman's descent into psychic darkness follows the cycle of the sun through the winter season. Singing storytellers narrate her autumnal loss of love, inward journey into chaos and discovery of light within. The dancing trickstery of Raven and the gifts of wise old Moon accompany her journey. By turns somber, silly, and ecstatic, the show features cello, guitar, percussion, dance, shadow theatre, video, costumes, and song.
