If you missed Joey Pipia's mind magic show, HeadTrip, you can still experience it and you'll never be the same. This one-act journey through the depths of the mind returns for one night only on Saturday, January 10th, 8 pm at The Chameleon Theater.
Audiences experience a fun, unforgettable evening of original, mind-bending effects from a miniature séance to unbelievable predictions, show-stopping mind reading to goofy telepathy. The show reveals the magical world of the mind, where anything can happen.
"If the human mind is the original greatest show on earth," says Pipia, "then HeadTrip is the best way to explore those riches." In Head Trip, the theater is filled with smiles, amazement, and uproarious laughter. This is a feel good show where every effect has a sparkling ending, and audiences leave feeling that anything is possible.
Pipia has appeared in film, on television, and on stages across the country. He is a central performer, writer, and producer of the legendary Stage Left Vaudeville Show at the Oregon Country Fair. His escape from a straightjacket while hanging 80 feet above Water Street in downtown Port Townsend was featured on Seattle NPR's KUOW Presents, he performs at the international Moisture Festival, and tours regularly with The New Old Time Chautauqua and The Flying Karamazov Brothers.
In HeadTrip, Joey is joined by special guest and real-life daughter Phina Pipia. In three extensive tours of the Northwest, audiences have been awed by Ms. Pipia's uncanny ability to read minds. She is best known to Port Townsend audiences for her work with the dynamic musical duo The Pipia Sisters, and with theater company, Generation Goat Rocket.
The father and daughter wow audiences with two effects straight out of classic vaudeville mind theater. Joey adds, "There are only a handful of women worldwide capable of performing this wildly amazing work." While the Pipias have toured extensively with these two pieces, this return engagement of HeadTrip is a rare opportunity..
