Diabetes is a very common disease that causes long-term damage to the body. In 2012, it was estimated that 1 out of 10 Americans were living with diabetes, and those numbers are rapidly increasing. To learn more, join us as different aspects of diabetes are discussed:
- How common is it?
- What is it?
- How can I avoid it?
- If I have it, how can I improve it?

Dr. Debra Ouyang specializes in endocrinology. She received her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, completed her internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center/West LA VA Program, and endocrine fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Ouyang is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Thyroid Association and the Endocrine Society.
