Inside the Writers Room with The Family Guy

The Writers Guild Foundation will present Inside the Writers Room with The Family Guy on Tuesday June 1, 2010 at the Writers Guild Theatre in Beverly Hills. Show creator and producer Seth MacFarlane will be joined by members of his writing staff in a freewheeling expose of how the show is written, how the writers maintain their momentum, where the stories come from and where the cast and writers order their lunch.

The Family Guy debuted on the Fox network in 1999, and despite some early hiccups, has long since established itself as a cult favorite. Various critics have called the show "a pop culture-heavy masterpiece," "breathtakingly smart," "nasty but extremely funny," and "one of the best animated shows there is."
A light dessert reception will follow the formal part of the evening.
The Writers on Writing program is an interview series presented by the Writers Guild Foundation, featuring Q&A's with some of the most interesting, successful and/or honored screenwriters in film and television.
