The 17th Annual Amateur Stand-Up Comedy Contest PFP 2010
Every Thursday at 8pm
Starting April 1, 2010

Sponsored by Maine's New Coast 93.1 and MGD 64

This years contest will consist of 6 weeks of preliminaries rounds
2 weeks of semi Finals and 1 week of finals.

Each week of preliminaries will have 8-10 contestants performing for 3 to 5 minutes.
They will be judged in 3 different categories: Stage Presence, Audience Response and Originality of Material. There is a panel of Judges that is composed of contest sponsors, local personalities and business people. If contestants stray outside of time constraints there is 20% taken off of the overall score.
1st place and 2nd place each week move onto semi final rounds with 3rd place being an alternate if 1st or 2nd place cannot finish the commitment of the contest.

In the semi final rounds the top 3 contestants from each round will advance to the Finals, making the finals a 6 contestant show.

The Grand Prize this year is $1000.00 cash
The requirements for signing up are that the contestant must be a resident of Maine or New Hampshire and have not made more than $1000.00 performing stand-up comedy in the past 365 days.
