Each month we pick one cookbook to cook (or in this case, bake) from. Then a group of us gather for a potluck of shared dishes from the chosen book. The selection for May is Good to the Grain: Baking with Whole Grain Flours by Kim Boyce, a chef who knows a thing or two about baking impressively delicious treats. She has cooked alongside legendary chefs Mario Batali, Nancy Silverton, Lidia Bastianich, and Alice Waters to name a few, and was the executive pastry chef at Spago and Campanile in Los Angeles. After becoming a mom, Kim set out to discover the world of whole grain flours, from amaranth to quinoa, and ended up with this collection of 75 enticing recipes.
