WNC Chefs Challenge Preview Party
WNC Chefs Challenge is a battle between the area's best chefs!
Please mark your calendar for Thursday, May 13th from 5:30 to 7:30 for the WNC Chefs Challenge Preview Party. Meet the chefs, enjoy wine from Childress Vineyards and sample great food prepared by 14 of the best chefs that are competing for the title of "Best Chef in WNC". The fun begins at the Haywood Park Ballroom, downtown Asheville for a late afternoon of great food and wine. The tickets are only $25!!
Following this event will be the Preliminary Chefs Challenge Competitions. Here's how it works: Fourteen chefs will pair off in head-to-head competitions (heats) starting on May 18th at the Flying Frog Cafe and continuing every Tuesday evening. Each team will be given a secret ingredient that must be featured in their culinary creations.
You will be the judge and get to enjoy six great creations from the chefs, then score them to determine who goes to the final competition. This six-course culinary delight is only $39 per guest.
When only two teams remain, they will battle it out on Saturday, August 14th, 2010 in an "Iron Chef" style competition for the Asheville Wine & Food Festival.
