4/2010 - Fake Radio Presents: A Sci-Fi Extravaganza!
"Slickly professional in every particular..."
    The LA Times

"A palpable sense of infectious goofiness..."
    The LA Weekly

For nearly 10 years, "Fake Radio" has been presenting its comedic take on classic radio shows from "The Golden Age" of radio. Our unique blend of original broadcast scripts along with unexpected improvised dialogue has been delighting audiences and critics for years.

We now invite you to join us for the continuation of our 2010 season with two episodes from what is generally considered one of the best Sci-Fi series ever produced for radio in the 1950's:

X Minus One

Episode 1: "Mars is Heaven"
It's the future -- April of 1987, that is. A rocket crew of 17 U.S. astronaut-marines becomes the first human space expedition to ever set foot on the fourth rock from the Sun. Or do they? And is this Mars, or is it Wisconsin circa 1928; or is it... Heaven? This X Minus One broadcast, an adaptation of Ray Bradbury's
short story, aired on May 08, 1955.

Episode 2: "Tunnel Under the World."
Guy Burkhart wakes day after day, screaming, after having the same odd dream. But he is not alone in experiencing this strange phenomenon. His bus driver is caught in the same cycle. But it seems that all others in town remain oblivious. Realizing they are not crazy, the two set off to solve this bizarre riddle that has trapped them both in a time loop. This X Minus One classic, based on a short story by Frederik Pohl, aired on March 14, 1956.

This show is sure to sell out, so please get your tix today. And...

We'll see you at the theatre!
