Wellness in the Schools (WITS) is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 in order to improve the environment, nutrition, and fitness in NYC public schools. In an effort to combat childhood obesity and to create healthier environments in which to learn, WITS developed Cook for Kids, Coach for Kids, and Green for Kids, three NYC based programs poised for replication nationwide.

THE GREENHOUSE PROJECT
The greenhouse project is a program of NEW YORK SUN WORKS a 501c3 dedicated to empower grade school children to make educated choices regarding their impact on the environment. In partnership with PS333, they are building The Sun Works Center, a science laboratory and urban farm to improve the education of environmental sciences in NYC public schools through a hands-on integrated curriculum and professional development.
