The Producer Dinner: Catherine Breton & Jean Montanet
Catherine Breton (Domaine Breton) and Jean Montanet (Domaine de la Cadette) are two of our favorite winemakers in the world. Both producing vibrant wines using biodynamic viticulture and a noninterventionist approach to winemaking. Wine importer describes Breton wines as "remarkably juicy, textured, versatile with food, and immensely age worthy." Domaine de la Cadette, a relatively young winery by Burgundy standards, produces balanced wines with mineral character found most oftenin Chablis that cost twice as much. Tonight we will enjoy a multi-course meal, prepared by Chef Morgan Maki, paired with their wines and their first-hand accounts of being top French vintners.
