Bach for Multiple Harpsichords
New York virtuoso harpsichordist Ignacio Prego joins The Albany Consort in a multi-keyboard concert featuring Concertos by Bach for one, two and three harpsichords on Friday December 19. The setting is perfect - an intimate Berkeley house style space, very appropriate for these delicately balanced pieces.
Joining Ignacio are local favorites Jonathan Salzedo and Marion Rubinstein and a string group led by Laura Rubinstein-Salzedo. Works by Leclair, Telemann and A Scarlatti complete the program. Wine and cheese are served after the concert.
The venue is the main room at The Christian Science Organization, one of Berkeley's outstanding Julia Morgan buildings. Tickets are $30/$20/$10 at the door or online.
