Rumors
Nashua Theatre Guild is proud to present "Rumors" by Neil Simon, America's best known multi-award winning playwright. Rumors, one of his most popular comedies begins when four affluent couples gather at the Deputy Mayor of New York's townhouse for an elegant dinner party to celebrate the 10th wedding anniversary of their hosts. The first couple to arrive, both lawyers, finds no servants, uncooked food, a host who has shot himself in the earlobe, and a missing hostess. They must figure out how to explain the situation, but as the other guests arrive, the cover-up gets progressively more difficult to sustain - until nobody can remember who has been told what about whom. Doors slam, one-liners fly, marriages and friendships are tested, and hilarity abounds as the guests frantically try to hide the evening's events from the outside world.
Director Mike Wood and stage manager Mayer Lipman have assembled a stellar cast of ten with Craig Ciampa (Lowell, MA), Meredith Borgioli (Amherst, NH), Melissa Runde (Windham, NH), Will McGregor (Lowell, MA), Glen Grimard (Lowell, MA), Angela Rossi (Lowell, MA), John Decareau (Manchester, NH), Victoria Hogan (Hudson, NH), and Rich Alcott (Nashua, NH).
