Comedy Returns to El Rio! (a Kung Pao Kosher Comedy production)
Comedian/comedy producer, Lisa Geduldig, (Kung Pao Kosher Comedy) began her stand up comedy career 20 years ago last July at El Rio in San Francisco's Mission District. In celebration of that anniversary, she brought comedy back to El Rio, the club that first put her onstage.

Geduldig strives to produce multicultural, multi-everything comedy shows with the variety of shows she produces each year (Kung Pao Kosher Comedy, Funny Girlz, The Color of Funny). The shows are out of the norm, the line-ups are always a diverse cultural, gender, and sexual orientation mix, and her comedy productions showcase some of the funniest and smartest stand up comics from San Francisco and beyond.

Comedy Returns to El Rio takes place every 2nd Monday of the month @ 8pm at El Rio.

The Monday, March 8th show features:

CARLA CLAYY is a native San Franciscan who has spent the last several years making people laugh all over the country. She won the Marshall's Women in Comedy Competition in 2001 and was awarded a guest spot at its Marin County show, sharing the stage with Paula Poundstone, Joy Behar, and Rene Hicks. Carla is a regular at The Punchline and Cobb's and comedy clubs in such hotspots as Modesto and Chico and has shared the stage with Robin Williams.

CLAM LYNCH - Do you want to change your life, but you don't know where to begin? Are you ready to realize your own "special specialness?" Is it time to set achievable goals (like getting out of bed, for example)? Motivational speaker, Clam Lynch is here and ready to lead you on this important journey. Clam will help you make enormous strides in personal growth and self-discovery without any of the annoying pain and hard work. He wants to help you so that you can help him help you help him. Clam is 58% sure that his seminar "Cut the Crap" will in all likelihood change your life. "Cut the Crap" had a four-month run at The Steve Allen Theater in LA. In addition to his performance work, Clam acted in two children's TV shows: "Life with Loopy" and "The Shrimpskins" for the Nickelodeon Channel.

NICK LEONARD started performing stand up at the beloved Josie's Cabaret in The Castro and has appeared all over the U.S. His comedy graced the prestigious 2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. That same year, he was also voted one of San Francisco's top 10 comics by Karma.com. The former Cosmonaut and International Bon Vivant was the co-producer of the gay comedy showcase, QComedy.

LOREN KRAUT wrote, directed and produced her play Time, You Thief at The Gill Theatre in San Francisco. In New York, she co-wrote two one-woman shows, stage-managed many Off and Off-off Broadway plays, and once rode in an elevator with Penny Marshall. Loren was a finalist in the Battle of the Bay Comedy Competition in 2007 and 2009. Her style is laid-back and somewhat dark, covering such subjects as her obsessive-compulsive disorder and anorexia or writing the perfect suicide note. She can be seen throughout the Bay Area touching or counting anything that needs touching or counting  most recently at The Purple Onion, The Clubhouse, Rooster T. Feathers, Harveys Funny Tuesdays, The Wharf Room, and at a coffee shop near you.

LISA GEDULDIG is the creator, producer, & MC of a variety of annual comedy shows: Kung Pao Kosher Comedy; The George Bush Going Away Party; Funny Girlz; A Muslim, A Mormon, and A Jew Walk into A Bar; The Color of Funny; Comedy Returns to El; Rio, Cafe con Comedy; Charo.
