Words First

Words First is the premier solo performance event in San Francisco. The first Wednesday of every month, Words First invites the finest solo artist, comics, and storytellers to the CounterPULSE stage. Solo performance is a unique brand of theater one person, one stage. Its one part storytelling, one part comedy, one part drama, and 100% entertainment.

HOWARD PETRICK
"Rambo: The Missing Years (excerpt, Hello Ft. Hood)"
This is the often humorous story of the military bureaucracy and a draftee who, without breaking the rules, spoke out against the war to his fellow GIs and anyone else who would listen. After a turbulent two months in basic training Pvt. Petrick and his anti-war buddy Moen are assigned to Ft. Hood, Texas to be trained as field wiremen.
