Growing Nursing Leadership for the next Decade
With or without passage of healthcare reform legislation, the coming decade will challenge hospitals like never before. Demographic trends suggest a sharp jump in demand, but Baby Boomers better informed about technological and treatment advancements and about patient safety, outcomes, and satisfaction measures, are likely to increasingly steer that demand towards the top performing hospitals. Reimbursement model changes from government and private insurers will also increasingly favor top performers. Meanwhile, thin margins and workforce shortages will provide significant hurdles to improved performance in a decade when three-fourths of our nurse leaders are expected to retire. The next generation of CNOs, Nursing Directors, and Managers will need new skills to most fully leverage the resources available and maximize performance outcomes. In addition to controlling costs and developing talent, tomorrow's nurse leaders will have a major role in driving revenue, but how will they acquire these needed skills?
The Nursing Consortium of South Florida invites you to attend Growing Nursing Leadership for the next Decade March 19, 2010 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Seminole HardRock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, FL Registration is $99.00 per attendee.
