William Shakespeare's The Tempest
Considered to be the last play that William Shakespeare wrote by himself, "The Tempest" is an elegiac fantasy concerning an exiled duke who was banished to a deserted island with her infant daughter. Tapping into the island's magical powers and harnessing a spirit known as Ariel as her slave, Prospero sets about exacting revenge upon her exilers by crashing their zeppelin on the island by summoning up a massive sea-storm. Utilizing singing, live drumming, a prog-rock soundtrack, a steampunk-based design and a cast of 16 talented actors, this production of the Bard's revenge fantasia is swift, visceral and not-to-be-missed.
