Event
Connecticut Early Music Festival
Professional recorder quartets are common in Europe, but not so much in the US! In the summer of 2017, four recorder players from Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra, Tempesta di Mare, got together to fill this special niche. New World Recorders--Priscilla Herreid, Gwyn Roberts, Héloïse Degrugillier and Rainer Beckmann--has performed and led workshops in Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, and Washington D.C.
The program will include J.S. Bachs Art of the Fugue (BWV 1080), Orchestral Suite No. 1 in C Major (BWV 1066), and Capriccio in Bb Major (BWV 992).
